This is a very rare manuscript of Asajirō Morita, one of the great post-edo armor maker, about the cords used in armours, mainly tōsei gusoku. It contains 77 color pictures of cord-remains from Nambokucho onwards, with his comments.
The same content was one year later bundled with 5 articles Mr. Morita wrote in the magazine of the armor society (will be reviewed later).
Greetings,
I’ve been studying Kute-uchi for several years now and I’ve exhausted all available English text sources and some Japanese text sources. A friend from the Kumihimo Braiding Society recently purchased a copy of this book and showed it off. I’m curious about locating and purchasing this book or its second print run to add to my library on Japanese braiding. Does the Japanese Armour Society have a secondary book market email or newsletter?
