A small but nice exhibition catalog around Kuroda Kanbē. Few helmets, many documents.
Catalog from The Kanagawa Prefectural Historical Museum. Many paintings, ceramics etc. Two beautiful Kamakura era kabuto, one Momoyama era armour end one very nice Muromachi era haramaki.
Beautiful catalog of a magnificent exhibition held in the Tokyo National Museum in 2007 : “Legacy of the Tokugawa – The glories and treasures of the last samurai dynasty”. The exhibition was the first time that major possessions of the Tokugawa Shoguns, the three branch Tokugawa Daimyos (Owari, Kii and Mito) and several shrines and temples are put together on display.
The all color catalog contains many items, including several of the famous Tokugawa armours.
Nice exhibition catalog. Besides some interesting excavation material and documents, the armour treat is here some nice heian period yoroi details, not only from a very old (fallen apart) armour, but also from a recently made copy.
