Although the quality of the pictures could be much better, the book gives a nice view on the armours that were mainly held at the time of publication in the Nagano area. There is no detailed description of the armours. The back of the book contains some reprints of an armour newsletter of Nagano branch of the armour society.
Exhibition catalog for what must have been an amazing armour exhibition in the Tokyo National Museum in 1976. A bigger book was published in 1977 (see B0019).
This is one volume of a magnificent 13 volume set (12 normal volumes + 1 extra volume) that contains the National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties of Japan at the moment of the publication. This volumes contains, among many other things, armours. One could only wish for a full color one and one with bigger pictures.
Nice exhibition catalog. Besides some interesting excavation material and documents, the armour treat is here some nice heian period yoroi details, not only from a very old (fallen apart) armour, but also from a recently made copy.
Very nice catalog that was published in 1990 at the occasion the the exhibition Swords of the Samurai then new Japanese Gallery at the British Museum. The catalog does not only contain a nice selection of swords, but also several famous armours, tsuba, koshirae etc.

Beautiful book from Robert Burawoy with 100 selected pieces from the Famous Stibbert Collection in Florence. Excellent photography, with explanation in French and English. This is the best book about the Stibbert Collection.
Very nice and now rare publication from the Osaka regio branch (Kinki) of the The Armour society. Many pieces you will probably not find in any mainstream publication. Does also include several old akodanari kabuto and haramaki etc. Limited to 300.
