This is the best exhibition catalog that exist about pre-heian armours. The other (much more expensive) book that is THE bible for this kind of armour is Nihon jōdai no katchū by Masao Suenaga (B0206).
Very nice catalog of kawari kabuto and kawari gusoku pieces from one of the finest private collections in Japan. Does not contain the fancy high class eye candy, but the real stuff that was used in the (battle)field.
This can be considered the ‘very light’ version of the catalog for the fabulous exhibition held in Paris in 2011 (and later in many places in the world) of the Barbier-Mueller collection. The big catalog is a must have.

Very nice catalog of an exhibition held in 2006 in the famous Sano Museum. A very nice selection of kawari kabuto, some armours, few sōmen and also a great selection of Goto Tōsōgu.
Catalog that is for armour enthousiasts very interesting because it includes a partial (?) color reproduction (but in small size) of a document by Myōchin Muneakira with design drawings of an armour he made/was going to make…
Excellent catalog with 41 pieces. The very nice thing about this catalog is that the armours and kabuto all have multiple pictures from different angles.
